Do It Yourself Home Improvement [Infographic] | InfographicsMaze ...

Here's the ROI on a few DIY home improvement projects.
Provided by Nationwide Insurance

Introduction:

In this infographic created by the team at Nationwide Insurance we take a look at some DIY tips designed to add extra value to your house and in turn provide a better ROI come selling time.

Information: ????

At first glance I didn?t think there was much information contained in this infographic, until I noticed that the image at the top of the graphic actually changes to display 10 great pieces of DIY advice!

Each bit of information shows the cost, benefit and ROI for each tip in clear and easy to understand figures. This is very useful for anyone looking to add benefit to their houses.

We are also presented with some statistics about projects that homeowners have completed over the past five years and the key remodeling motivations.

Design: ???

If it weren?t for the gif image then the design of this infographic would be pretty lame. There is nothing really special about the fonts, colors or layout of information here.

Creativity: ????

I?m giving this infographic four stars for creativity because rather than creating a simple static graphic they have gone that extra mile and turned the image of a house into an interactive gif file that is easy to comprehend and understand.

Conclusion:

Overall, a good job by Nationwide Insurance. My only criticism would be the fact that the user cannot pause or speed up the gif file. It is slightly annoying that you have to wait for the image to move to the next tip without no control over this.
