Beautiful Prints From Iconic New Yorker Artist Adrian Tomine

Adrian Tomine has a talent for capturing the strangeness and beauty of life in a city, from creeping Brooklyn gentrification to the subway-borne Missed Connection. His frequent illustrations for The New Yorker have always made me wish I could own a larger print?in fact, a copy of his iconic post-Hurricane Sandy cover hangs in our living room.

Luckily, Tomine recently expanded his online store to include a bevy of new large-format prints, including a handful from New York Drawings, the beautiful collection of New York-centric illustrations he recently published with Drawn and Quarterly. At $250, they?re a pricey buy?but considering the name the 38-year-old Tomine has made for himself in his relatively short career as a graphic artist, it?s easy to think of them as investments.
