Sur??pris??ingly, that?s exactly what a four-month-pregnant waitress was told when she was cut from the weekly schedule and then fired. The U.S. Equal Employ??ment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) filed a pregnancy discrimination suit on behalf of the woman, who was under no medical or working restrictions when she lost her job at a Jackson, Miss., bar and grill. The employer will now pay $20,000 to settle the suit.

Heed the words of the EEOC: ?Women have the right to work, including during pregnancy.?
