The Direct Marketing Manager will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of direct mail appeals, online and offline, marketing segmentation and appeal code tracking for all fundraising programs. Responsible for coordinating direct marketing efforts to ensure strong retention, reactivation and acquisition, this individual will work with multiple internal constituents and vendors to bring direct marketing projects to completion. In addition, this person will manage our internal associate giving program and integrate the program within our engagement and direct marketing program. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Develop and implement comprehensive and integrated direct marketing solicitation strategies to secure individual gift income through mail and electronic communication. ? Source Direct Mail and Email appeal vendors, materials and manage copywriting and design process for online and direct mail marketing. ? Use data for assigned direct marketing programs and ensure online and offline data accuracy. ? Manage weekly, monthly and quarterly report analysis for all fundraising channels with DM consulting firm. ? In conjunction with Director of Philanthropy and Engagement Manager, develop fundraising budget and campaign plans for fiscal year and ensure budgeted income goals are met. ? Manage the growth and retention of direct mail donors ? Manage the acquisition campaign and reactivate lapsed donors to active donor pool. ? Manage and communicate with vendors to assure timely delivery to meet the campaign due dates. ? Reconcile monthly fundraising income & expense with Finance dept ? Ensure fundraising online and offline information integrity and quality assurance ? Understand overall business strategies and campaign specific marketing objectives and assist direct mail & communication manager to execute segmentation plans according to budgeted goals and objectives. ? Train and help other dept staff understand and utilize the coding/segmentation system for marketing campaigns. ? Audit & update segmentation tool values/description ensuring these are up-to-date for documentation purposes ? Work with PetSmart Inc, team on integrating an associate giving program within all Petsmart communication channels ? Work on leveraging giving campaigns with associates/employees ? Manage all communication between Charities and Petsmart Inc for ?Be the Difference? associate giving campaign

Preferred Qualifications: ? B.A, B.S degree in marketing, communication, business, philanthropy or related field. ? Experience in managing staff and associate volunteers while working in a hands-on capacity within an organization that focuses on cross-collaboration and team. ? Superior interpersonal and verbal communication skills. ? Outstanding writing skills ? Enthusiasm for working for an organization that promotes and provides life-long loving homes to every pet. ?
